the above print by this artist (discovered via this blog) reminded me of this story:
when i was little, one of my favorite playtime personas was “baghead”. it would consist of my mother coming home from the grocery store and me begging her to cut a face-shaped hole in one of the paper bags. when she complied, i would gleefully put the bag over my head and, all of a sudden…i was inside a television! it provided endless entertainment.
this entertainment continues into current day as there is an all-time classic kranz home video of little toddler alison, wearing a crooked baghead and high-pitchedly slurring her abcs. one day, when i discover vhs to dvd to youtube transfer i will post it here, for all my readers’ amusement. until that day, feel free to visit my parents and ask to watch it. they’d enjoy the company.
A baghead…. Little Alison inside the television..!!! :)Can’t wait till you post that home video here…
oh man. don’t expect it soon, i’m not too technologically inclined in matters of video transfer. you have any idea how to?
Me too. But I’ll see and let you know, surely.
